Happy Friday! I decided to do something special for you today & give you some free content.

In my new course, there are five main lessons followed by two bonus lessons. In one of the bonus lessons, I talk about 10 keys to improving confidence. What you’re about to read is #8 of the 10 keys…enjoy!

8. Values — list your values on a sheet of paper. Start by listing every value you can think of.

Next, rank them based on importance to you.

Narrow down your top 5 values. (which is hard)

This is the most important tip I can give you if you’re trying to find your voice. If you are coming out of an abusive relationship where your voice was squashed, finding your voice becomes a high priority to you. If this is you, please give yourself some grace. It’s not an overnight thing, but we will get your voice back! That’s a promise.

By listing our values, we become a more complete person and begin to gain clarity on our true self.

If you’re in a bad mood, list the things you don’t value. List things that other people do that drives you crazy! This will temper down your mood by listing your resentments, while also offering you valuable insight to yourself that you may have never considered. This is mental health habit stacking 101.

OK, I’ll go first so you have an example. Anytime I’m driving on the freeway, I get super irritated by people driving slow in the fast lane. You sure as hell saw the “speed limit” sign, so how did you miss the “slower traffic keep right” sign? Or what looks like a funeral precession stacked up behind you?

Therefore, I must value courtesy because I despise people that drive in the fast lane when they aren’t driving fast. I’m not the guy flashing my lights or riding your bumper (maybe a little) but I’m the guy giving you plenty of space while yelling at you from the comfort of my own car. I even learned some gnarly Spanish phrases to call you, just to change things up a bit.
